We did a day hike on the East Canyon trail in Golden Ears park on Saturday. Trail is relatively flat but some beautiful scenery as you follow Gold Creek up to Hector Ferguson lake. We made it to the point where you have to cross Gold Creek (11km in). We had some lunch and turned around. Awesome hike, quite long and we were pretty sore and tired towards the end. Lots of good camping spots along the Gold Creek all the way up for those looking for non vehicle access camping spots. Would do again in the late summer to early fall and would try to get to the lake for a good overnight hike.
