Default Views from the Pump

Who needs clouds and rain? Brilliant sunshine and well-known destination that never disappoints! My 6th winter here, lowest snow I've seen for this time of year. Left snowshoes at home; put gaitors at Brockton, and traction for descent - not strictly necessary, but steep-ish east aspect was slippery. Single skier tracks towards Wes Staircase, but don't know how far. Went first to center peak (faint track continued to main peak).

On return had soup on Pump peak watching sunset, while 2 girls and their dog were setting up tent just bellow - way to go!

Steady traffic on the way down past Brockton; many folks heading up with headlamps, with variety of equipment (boots, snowshoes, skis)

Same over here around Buttle Lake. Snowline is way up the mountain.

That first one is pretty special, but appreciated even more after being fogged in all day in South Surrey.

yeah; actually you could tell it was going to get foggy as white stuff was advancing from Burrard Strait. Looking at forecast this inversion might stick till next weekend

Forgot to mention, for what it is worth, avi rating at Brockton was set to low (Thu Jan 16)

Standard gully leading up to Center Peak, looking back towards Pump Peak; about 2/3rd of the way up. Enter N49 23.363 W122 56.625 in google maps
