Default Cheakamus Lake to Singing Creek

Did this hike with my dad on Sunday. We got to the parking lot around 9:30 with no one else there and hiked all the way to Singing Creek without seeing another human, only fat snafflehounds and enormously profuse fungi.

We ate lunch at Singing Creek and talked about good times we had at Cheakamus Lake 35-odd years ago when I was just barely large enough to make it to the lake.

On the way back the trail was packed with other hikers out enjoying the sunshine. The parking lot was full when we left.

I love that your Dad still hikes in jeans.

Out today with 11 Powell River Wednesday Hikers - I believe the youngest in the group today was 60 plus, the oldest pushing 80. We did a fairly tough 12 km hike. Age is not a barrier.
