We finally got to this nicely revitalized trail at 10:00 this morning. The meteorologists promised mostly sunny skies. I think they should leave the weather forecasting to someone with some weather skills.
The trail is very steep for the first hour, through the forest. It then opens up to some nice meadowy areas with blueberries and wildflowers.
Another hour of steady uphill brings us to a little park bench that would probably have some nice views if not for the clouds. We had lunch here, then carried on the mostly flat, snowy slopes to the campground.
Looking back at the campground which was mostly flooded.
Beyond the camp the trail is mostly snow covered. We traveled another km or so to rocky bump on a ridge where the trail became steeper again. At this point we were in the thick of the clouds and decided to call it a day.
We waited here for a view, but after 1/2 hour started back down. It wasn't until we were just back into the thick of the forest that we saw the top of an impressive peak. Outram, maybe?
