Is this the kind of bridge Steventy had in mind for Cesna Creek?

As other have shown: suspension bridge is in passable shape.
There are a couple alders leaning on one of the stabilizing cables on the far side, though, causing the wooden decking to be pulled a bit under the support cables.
It's not quite as bad as it was with this winter's snowload, but still would be nice if a saw was brought up to take care of the trees that are resting on the stabilizing cable.

Looks like there may be something in the works for the bridge, however, as there are some marking stakes now put on either side of the creek.

On the trail, the bushes in the marshy section have grown in again- beware the Cow Parsnip.[xx(]

Also, campspot at the lake is in decent shape and will (hopefully soon) have some new amenities!
Wonder how long these have been there and what the plan is.... [?]

Christine..

I did not see those plastic pieces when I was at the lake.

Observed Bridges are all in fine shape, except for the Alder issue.

Do it yourself. Some assembly required.

Describing a pit toilet as a "future food cache" ?

Gearhed - the bear proof food cache is the metal locker pictured in the first of the two photos above, not the green poly toilet.

I was on the trail today and cut 2 of 3 alders off of the bridge's stabilizer cables. It seemed to help quite a bit.

Radium Lake Trail was closed sometime yesterday. Sign says "Temporary Trail Closure (to Radium) Due to Construction. Do Not Enter. By Order of BC Parks."

Sorry, no photo. Looks like they are going to start work on the bridge.

Glad I got in the MacDonald trip last month !

Last major uplight was on the third small bridge in; where they triple planked two logs crossing the creek

I was away on a fishing trip the last few days. The sign was posted at the real trailhead a few km into the hike, where it starts going uphill away from the Chilliwack River.
