An excellent trip report, Mick!![^]
Enjoyed with some Holsten Maibock.
I had to look up whether I was office-bound on that day or not. Fortunately it turns out that I was galavanting around up at Wind Lake.

First CT use of the word"galavanting",Martin
I like that word. My grandmother used to use it all the time "If you'd have spent less time galavanting around with your friends, that homework would have been finished a long time ago."

Hey Simon, I was perusing this report and came across your comment, to which I didn't respond to. I'm not happy with having missed that, so here it is almost a decade later

Your reply made absolute sense, but there was something in us or not in us, that just found us contented to be there and doing nothing but taking it all in. I even went back with Doug two years later but the area was blockaded by logging so we got shut down.

It had been quite some time since I looked at the photos, they are still as impressive as they were that day!

Cheers,
M
