Jason and I had the intention of hiking up to Mount Harvey this morning but as we set out on the trail, it just seemed to be one of those days. When I reached the split for Tunnel Bluffs and Hat and Brunswick Mountain, it just seemed a better choice. We figured that we wouldn't go to the top so we just carried along the Tunnel Bluffs trail for a ways.

This seems like a nice level hike for those days when the legs just aren't up to heaving for 6 or 7 hours at a time.

Once we reached the split where the trail makes its way back down to Lions Bay we made our way back via the same root. My only question is how far is it to the top of Hat Mountain. Anyways a nice quick morning Hike.

Probably a couple of hours to Hat Mountain up the west face from where you were. Some route-finding required.

You may have missed the sign pointing to the viewpoint, about 50m off the trail.
