no, it's why you use antibottes or hit your crampons occasionally with your iceaxe. or, just take them off if the snow is that soft. crampon ballups can lead to broken legs or worse. you might even put a rip in those styling blue jeans you wore.

I was hitting them with my axe and wearing antibots.. it balled with one step and i was gone... i took my jeans off when we hit snow.... was too hot, i just wore my gore tex half unzipped over boxers
