Default Two Days of Same Old, Same Old

The title says it all. So many trip reports on this two mountains, so I thought of not posting at all. But then Jim had to go and upgrade the photo uploading thingy, so here I am.

[u]Day One</u>
Saturday, December 29th, 2007
I took Pippa up to Seymour for a snowshoe with her friend and friends father, and although it was busy, we lucked out with a parking spot right near the chair lift. We further scored free neon green whistles for all from the folks at the Adventure Safe BC booth.
(I managed to scoop one for Half-Pint, as she was home with mom.)
Pippa's little buddy had a few "firsts" today.
She had never been on a crazy carpet!
She had never been on snowshoes before.
She had never fed a wild bird right out of her hand before!
It was great fun to introduce her to these very fun bits of winter.

1. Pippa is always a little shy of the birds. (I should have never let her watch that Hitchcock movie.)[:0]
2. Pippa flying on her crazy carpet. (Notice flying snow chunks...She was BOOKIN!)
3. Pippa about to wipe out while friend looks on.

[u]Day Two</u>
Half-Pint was a little sad that she opted out of day one, so she begged me to go today. (It didn't take much coaxing.) Having gone to Seymour the previous day, Cypress would be a nice change, and as luck would have it, scored a parking spot right near the trailhead. Whoo hoo, 2 for 2 this weekend! No friends or introductions to winter bits this day, just Half-Pint and Dad playing in the snow.

Half-Pint scarfing down the hot chocolate. (If I was a mean dad, I would've brought Ovaltine...yuck!)

Some random Cypress pics

It's always fun to get out with the girls and create memories with them. It is my sincere hope that these memories will make spoon feeding me in my old age that much more tolerable.

Nice pics. Some of those seem to have been taken using a fish eye lens.

It's never the same old same old when you get to see it through young eyes.

Looks like you guys had a blast up there! Next time I think you should bring the ovaltine, wouldn't want to overload them with fun or you'll always be up there snowshoeing and crazy carpeting.

PS - Let Pippa know that the WhiskeyJack's all time favourite food is dried cranberries. She can put that to the test the next time you guys head up there.

How did I miss this TR? Sneaky title I guess. Great two days with your girls. Glad you did post it.

It's good to have a long term plan.
