Thank you all for the very nice responses to Half-Pints first overnight adventure. We had a blast. (She has 9 pics in the CT Top 10, How cool is that for such a little squirt![8D]) I'm sure we will do many more together.

Shadee, she get's her good looks from her daddy....her humbleness from her mom.

Spidey, they would! But I'd have to interrogate..er..get to know you boy. ("Tell me young man, what are your intentions with my daughter?)Ahhh, it's fun to be all grown up.lol.

It sounds like there is enough interest for a CT kid hike. Social Climber, Spidergirl, Shadee, Myself and many more of us have kids that hike. Hmmm, thinking we should make it happen.[^]

Great job, guys. That's quite a hike for little legs. She's pretty darn cute, too.

Good stuff guys, glad the weather finally brightened up. We were there Friday and Saturday, in the rain. We met Reeka too. She loves jerky !!

LOL:

In addition to meeting 1/2 Pint and Moses on our way out, we had many visits from Reeka while in camp. At one point she made off with a small Nalgene bottle filled with ... Jerky! Her owners returned the bottle with the lid loop chewed off and apologized but explained that she had acquired a taste for jerky because she had managed to mooch some from another party.

Her pack looks heavy but in reality was probably less than 3 lbs. All she had was a lightweight bag, very light thermarest, and extra socks. My pack on the other hand....I've been in traction for a week but the doctors are hopeful.

I think we should plan a CT "Parents and Tots" hike. We should get a pretty good turnout based on comments in this thread.

We're in! Too bad summer's over but we'll figure something out. Maybe go up to Mtn. Lake Hut. I did that in November one year and it was a fabulous trip.

Wow, what a great report and outing with your daughter. She's BC through and through, that one. Look forward to more reports of the two of you and your expeditions.
