Default Deep Cove - Talks and Doughnuts

This lite trip report is dedicated to all the CT Liters out there. Seriously, I think you'd like to do this one.

Destination: No real destination aside from a big rocky bluff on the Baden Powell trail in Deep Cove
Participants: Janet and I
People met on the trail: Quite a few people for a day like this.
Song in my head: No song this time. Too busy catching up with my good friend Janet, who I hadn't seen in over a year.

Hmmmm... What can I say about this trip...

It was nice and it was fun and it was cool to see Janet and I'm glad I got out once again. And let's not forget the most important part, the yummy doughnuts from Honey's...

Here are a few pics for you. If some of you think I'm crazy, wait till you meet Janet. She's my mentor, and the craziest of them all!

Silly pictures. Did you notice? She's wearing a pair of Rad pants!!! I'm just teasing you btw. You know I love you, right?

And last but not least. Another poor tree that needed a bit of loving.

Thanks for hooking up with me Mamacita, I hope we get to do this more often in a near future.

There are a LOT of people up on the bluff. Did they all show up at Honey Doughnuts too? I know I would have. Mmm, doughnut.

Oh yeah, could you see the ledge that was the scene of the "thrilling rescue of boy and dog" last week?

It wasn't my very first hike but I still used to do it when I was just a very beginner. I remember this hike being sooo long and sooo hard. Today it just seemed soooo short and soooo easy.

Honey's was quite crowded actually. Not sure if there were people who actually did the hike first as they were all dressed up in their regular clothes. But I guess anything is possible on this part of the trail these days. There were people wearing jeans and not looking too outdoorsy up on that rock. [:0]

I had no idea about this story so I guess I won't be able to answer this question...

Here is the CT discussion of the story.

From the pic that was on the news (which I can't find a link to) it was a ledge just a few meters down from the edge.
