I wonder if this will fit a guy and it's just labeled 'women' for the sake of appealing to people. Thoughts?

It would fit a guy provided he's not tall nor large around the mid-section.

It's more than appealing to people...women's packs have narrower shoulders, the hip belt is measured and angled for women.
Great deal, but I'd recommend just women buying this pack

Quality women's packs have the shoulders set closer together to fit narrower shoulders, and a wider hipbelt as compared to the back length and shoulder straps, and the hipbelt is angled differently. Some of them also have the shoulder straps shaped a little differently to give some extra boob room.

A cheapie "women's" pack may just be pink, but in something like an Arcteryx, there is a difference.

If you are a narrow-shouldered male, you may find that a woman's pack fits you well, depending on how your hips sit, just like plenty of women find men's packs fit fine. But yes, there is a difference.

Would this fit someone who is 5 feet tall? This will be for someone in her teens. Thanks.

To anyone who is considering this pack, I have the exact same one (only mine is a women's large), and it's fantastic. It was most recently used on the North Coast Trail at the end of August. I bought it new at MEC years ago for $300-ish. The seller's asking price of $100 is *very* reasonable.
