Default 16.5' Clipper Canoe for sale cheap.

I'm doing this as a favour for one of my clients.

He has a 16.5 Clipper for sale for $400.00. it's in perfect condition and is a nice well built canoe. The only reason he is selling it so cheap is that he bought it years ago and now doesn't like the ordeal of having to pack it on and off of his car.

P.M. me if interested and I can put you in touch with him.

Tempting! I've recently put off my canoe purchase till next spring, but I think I'd rather spend more time choosing exactly the right canoe rather than jump at a deal. They don't come much cheaper than $400 though, that's for sure.

Agree. If it doesn't sell here, put it on the MEC Gear Swap. It will sell fast. I wish I had the cash.

OK
was thinking of buying it and renting it on CT for 75$ per 24 hours, or 125$ for 2 full days. Best rates ever!!

Would pay for itself instantly, anyone can give me 400$ short term loan?

If only I had a garage.

Or a trunk-mount bike rack instead of a roof top bike rack. That way I could just leave it on all the time.

A bit more information would be great... model, building materials, age, colour... a picture pray tell? Fish care about aesthetics and the colour of canoe they are caught from matters!

Regardless what it is, and if it floats, it's a smoking deal.

I don't really want any of you people out there in canoes anyways. For decades I've been able to drive an hour or two over an August long weekend and have a camp site without another human soul in site. Take my word for it people, canoes suck!

Here is a Clipper Ranger I just found boat traders for double the cost however, still a smoking deal. I know the Rangers to be a fun and stable flat water boat.

This really doesn't sound like a good reason to sell something cheaply. It just sounds lazy. "Leaving the country in 3 days and need to sell quickly" would be more believable.

Anyways, anyone ever bought a canoe from turnercanoes.com? He a guy out in Chilliwack who buys old ones, refurbishes them, and sells at a seemingly reasonable price. He advertises on craigslist from time to time.

Best rates ever...or not.

There are a few places in Vancouver that rent cheaper than that.

That sounds very dodgy. It would have to be followed with, "Send me the money via Western Union and I'll arrange to have someone deliver the canoe."

never rented, OK once...
based this on the Pitt lake rentals which were around 80$ for the day and they wanted it back by 6 pm. that's long gone and a new rental company is up, I believe.
back then it was a rip job fer sure.

I would appreciate it if you would start your own thread instead of hijacking mine if you wish to advertise another canoe for sale, it comes across as lazy...
