Default Fisher Peak

Hi everybody,

Fit, competent scramble with about 10 years experience here. Have climbed most of the peaks in Kane's book, mostly as a solo climber. Looking for someone to climb Fisher Peak with sometime in the week from August 16-23 as it looks a little intimidating in places.

Was also wondering if anyone's used a rope for the crux sections on Fisher and if there are any anchors set up. I think these sections look relatively easy to upclimb but not so much to downclimb, which has to be done first.

This forum is not the best place anymore to find partners for this kind of trips. I don't do difficult scrambling anymore, but for what it's worth here is bit of info:

According to Bill Kerr on summitpost, "The summit ridge is class 3 and 4 with the downclimbs being class 4 with sections up to YDS 5.3" and "As of June 2018 there is a rappel bolt/ring at the top of the first downclimb just to the left of the nose"

This is the picture of the nose, looking down taken from hereClick image for larger version

According to multiple sources, easiest way is to swing over the nose on skier left, then move right on narrow ledge halfway down.

Hope this helps.
