When I woke up to the rain this morning, I nearly bailed on this trip myself! The weather was just the beginning: a car knocked over a power pole on the Lougheed Hwy at Albion forcing traffic to take a long detour through the small backroads of Maple Ridge.

When I finally did get to the FSR at the end of Sylvester Road, I couldn't find the trailhead. I continue back and forth along the logging road and despite beating the heck out of the potholes, still could'nt find the spot. I had my backroads mapbook but no luck. Sould've printed AT's instructions as they were better than the map!

I'm not sure if anyone else gave it a shot, so I might try this again next weekend.

I was wonddring what happened to you dean. I got there at 9:30, waited around for 15 min, then decided to head up solo. Thankfully I'd remembered AT's directions, so had no problems finding it. I just pulled off to the side shortly after the paved road stops and walked the road from there. Unfortunately, there wasn't much visibility at the top, so I didn't get much of a view at the lake. I have the camera too, and will get it developed soon.

Nice work Dustin! Did you have a green car? If so, I'm kicking myself. I noticed a green car on the side that wasn't there on my way in. I drove waaaayy beyond the trailhead if that was it.

Yeah, the green neon was mine. I guess you just missed the part of the directions that mentioned to only go a few hundred metres past where the road turns to gravel, or did you think the actual trail branced off the main road, and not that side road where I'd parked?

Ah ha so that explains why I couldn't find you guys at the Springs. Dread if you showed up by yourself I might not have known you with your new "look".

Too bad I was otherwise commited because I know the route

Great job retrieving the camera [], must have been a little wet? Looking forward to seeing the pictures.[8D]
