Default Crossover Oct. 18 Flatiron-Portia or Crossover

Hi Everyone..

Looking to put a good group together for this one. Trail forks right off the Slesse Memmorial trail just before the memmorial stone..

This should be great, nice high climb and great views. Should be some interesting scrambling.

Debating on whether I should bring my rope.

Scheduled meet up time... 6:30 am Abbotsford; 7:00 am - Sardis (Starbucks).

SATURDAY TOMORROW.... possible snow and are bringing microspikes

Otherwise we move with Plan B: FLATIRON to PORTIA.. (20 Km round trip/ 8 hours or less including lunch)

K

Hiking is what keeps you young of mind and heart. When the going gets tough, the tough get going..............

Keep an eye out for my climbing shoes. Lost on this trail almost a month ago!

Okay we will be aware and watch out for them. Any idea where, near the top or a lot further down?

Most likely between the trailhead and the turnoff just before the memorial plaque. Don't look too hard though, have fun!

Hi Ted.

It is the one accessed from the trail coming off the Slesse Memmorial Trail branch off. I think we are going for the east peak.

So the plan now is firm for Saturday, Oct.11 Hope weather co-operates.

Hi Everyone:

Weather forecast is for showers Saturday, so not the best conditions. Considering Plan B for hopefully drier conditions if too wet for scrambling Crossover.... Kelly Peak or Flatiron to Portia is what I am thinking of ?

Welcome all thoughts and feedback on this, and whether you are interested in Plan B.

Would prefer dry to clearer conditons for Crossover, since some challenging srambling like is in order, and wet rocks might not be too good.

MEETUP PLACE & TIMES:

Abbotsford, 6:30 A.M.
Sardis, by the Starbucks.. 7:00 A.M.
