Beer and movies. Anyone?

The Vogue Theatre just confirmed that alcohol will be served at the lobby bar and can be consumed in the main floor seating area by anyone who qualifies (19+). Another reason to support this year's Vancouver screenings.

The line up for the Vogue includes a special edit of Valhalla:
From naked chairlift riding to cliff airs wearing nothing more than an avalanche beacon and a smile, Valhalla's naked snow segment sparks laughter from skiers and non-skiers alike.

So to summarize the show: beer, ski porn, bike porn, wing suit porn, sprinkled with few documentaries, beer, nudity. All that for $18 bucks.

Just confirmed.

Francois-Xavier “Fix” De Ruydts, filmmaker for the film Down the Line will show up for the Thursday screening.
Colin Jones, filmmaker and editor for Anthillfilms.com the creators of Not Bad will be in attendance on Saturday at the Vogue.

Also product samples from Clif Bar and Kicking Horse Coffee at all screenings. Plus door prizes of course.

The Park Theatre (Thursday show) and Centennial Theatre (Friday) are now very close to selling out and will be sold out by the night of their respective screening, i.e. no tickets at the door. The Saturday show at The Vogue still has tickets, but don't wait too long.

Thank you for your support.

The Thursday show at Park Theatre is now sold out. Thank you to everyone who bough tickets for your support, see you tomorrow! And please let us know what were your favourite movies.

Few tickets still available for Friday at the Centennial in North Van.

No self-respecting mountaineer should miss The Last Great Climb which will be screened as part of program B on Saturday at the Vogue. That theatre is pretty big so tickets are still available but going fast too.

Quick update: we had a great show yesterday; tonight screening in North Van is sold out.

Tomorrow's show at the Vogue is sold out online, there are few tickets coming back from MEC stores so we anticipate 20, perhaps 30 tickets at the door.

Thank you for making the Banff Film Fest a success again. See you tonight and tomorrow!
