Default Mount Laughington (May 19/13)

Going for a moderate type trip to Mount Laughington which is on the "RMOC" hiking schedule. Expect 6 to 7 hours with 600 to 800 meters elevation gain depending how far one can drive up the road.

Hiking is what keeps you young of mind and heart. When the going gets tough, the tough get going..............

maybe up for it, if going the alder tunnel let me know how bad and long it is. If we dont join, had plans to deal with that alder fest with saws for some time now.

Rick and Boris.

Would be good to see you both, I am looking at taking the higher bench road of the two running north towards the Laughington - Lady col. Idea is to head towards the summit from the road... which we did as a group back in 2010.

Depending on the people who join up, we can lighten up or increase the challenge (distance) on this one. Hope for good weather.

I would like to join this trip, possibly with my wife. We'd need a ride up the logging roads.
Thanks.

Would be great for you and your wife to join. Several days to go until Sunday, hopefully we will have enough 4wd transportation.

**How Can I Forget**, that was quite an eventful ride up. The day I postholed up and down, snowed up on top and rained down low..... which triggered to me finally purchase my first pair of snowshoes ..** That was an awesome day.

Cool to see that truck back on the road.

Thanks, Boris. That sure was a fun day out with you all. Brings back all the memories... And the scary encounter with the T-Rex Yarding Machine in the dark, on my return down to my car in the rain.

Boris, that would be good.

Picked up my courtesy car(jeep) to stand in for my car's repair damage resulted from break in suffered a little more than a week ago. Now to figure out the 4wd locking procedure.
