A friend sent me an incredible kayak/ killer whale encounter video this morning. But as it turns out it might be a little too incredible! Could any paddlers you know perform a flawless roll after that kind of trauma?

This is a hoax. The orca is Lolita, the captive orca in Florida from the Southern Resident L pod (from BC). The breaching scene was taken from the documentary ‘Lolita. ..Slave to Entertainment'. A Japanese advertising company superimposed the breaching orca onto the kayaking film (not sure if it's an ad for Coke or Pepsi).
If you look closely you'll see that the whale lands quite a distance in front of the kayak. Also, there's no explanation for why the kayak would submerge deep enough to pop up out of the water bow first like that. If it were authentic, the kayak would surely shatter.
