Bike touring and Logging roads southern Vancouver island!
Hey! Hope you all are great! We're on Vancouver island and hoping to do something a little more remote to get to Victoria. So our plan a and b are something like this! A. Cycle to Port alberni, ferry to bamfield, logging roads via nitinat lake to Port Renfrew, then loop to Victoria in time for tea. B. Cycle to Port alberni, logging roads via lake cowichan to Port Renfrew, loop to Victoria in time for tea C. Skip all that cause logging roads be too gravelly/dusty/sandy impossible to cycle on two fully loaded touring bikes (35 and 38 tires) and there be too many logging trucks, cycle to Duncan, then the loop to lake cowichan to Port Renfrew to Victoria in time for tea.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I emailed the logging company and have not yet heard back. Thanks everybody!
