Default Celebration of Lights from Canoe

I'm not a big crowd sort of person but I like the idea of watching the fireworks from my canoe so I was wondering if anyone has done this and has any tips. I understand there's a long wait after the fireworks for the big boats to leave and of course I will have lights with me for visibility. I thought I should at least try it once.

Yes, many a canoist have watched the fireworks from their canoe. I think most canoeist launch from Spanish Banks to avoid the traffic jams. Just keep close to shore, be well lit all around, and watch out for the idiots that still will not see you, including the False Creek shuttle ferries (they ran over a canoeing friend a couple years back, and it was well before sunset). Have fun!
