Has anyone paddled the Teslin River? I would love to hear your opinion/thoughts on this trip as it is one we are considering. Thanks.

group of friends did it couple of years ago and I've done it as a guide for 10 years. One of Yukon's gems. Best around mid-august to reduce bugs. Contact me with any questions.

Hi;
Yep, 10 - 14 days, flat water, nice trip, logistics straight forward, very easy to find shuttles, only a couple of hours from Whse, etc. I like earlier in the year better (before high water)or later in September, away from the zillion tourists in mid season (counted 22 canoes one mid-season day last year when I was working on the river). Bugs usually not too much of a problem unless you find bugs a problem, but they certainly are there. A couple of school programs use it as a field trip. It's spectacular right now, we are having a dynamite fall this year... Up North Adventures and the Kanoe People are both long-running local operators who, in summer, have almost daily info on conditions due to the number of trips they are invovled with, great to hook up with either for logistical support, shuttles, general info, etc. Have fun!

Thanks for your replies. I'll definitely get in touch with the outfitters suggested. Haidabear, I'll probably email you later on for some additional input.

Cheers!
