Default Have you seen LANCE ARMSTRONG!

Story and photos Mike Traslin/photos Andy Traslin

On the drive up to the 2008 Mount Baker Hill climb cycling race I wandered if lance armstrong would show up.Considering he anounced he would be back for the 2009 tour de france. With no lance at the 10am start,it was basically a 1 hour 30 minute test of pain to the parking lot 4km past the mount baker ski area. The last 4km gave me the feeling I was in the french alps, racing the alp de huez of the tour de france. But I soon broke out of my pain coma and realized I had Mount Shuksan on my left and the north face of Mount Baker in front of me.The cascades mountains are spectacular on a clear sunny day!

24.5 miles 4300 feet of climbing.
The legend of mountain biking Ned Overend showed up last year and at over ffty years old still beat everyone except one rider!Amazing!

Unicycles, tandems, recumbants welcome at this event, with the big focus of riding green and to ride a beautiful road that is closed from public for over four hours!

I don't really know why you put some pics of TV on the Radio in your TR, but I don't really care because they're more or less one of the most amazing bands making music right now. Sweet TR!

Thanks for the contribution!I put the photos of the band for fun!My brother Andy got a free ticket from work so he thought it would be kind of neat to check it out!And it tied into the fact he went on the same day as the bike race.Music, art, sports, outdoor pursuits, environment, sometimes blend into one pot, that was my theme anyway!Cheers!

You like the cliff shots that's a Scott Tinley special.I don't
really know why he went for five on the top tube,When you pull one
wouldn't the whole thing come off. Mike TV on the Radio is one
of my favorite bands right now, I don't know how my photos ended
there, but anyway a good show and they definitley don't sound
anything like Right said Fred. By the way wheres my Baker 542 socks.
Verze my guide in German accent.
