Nice catch! Where did you go, or is it the secret fishing hole? Don't worry I don't fish!

We went bar fishing on the Fraser just west of the rosedale bridge in Agassiz/Chilliwack. This was my first time ever bar fishing....beginners luck. My first chinook of the season at 22lbs. Kev's is 20lbs. MMMMMMMMM BBQ salmon steaks for dinner tonight. Can't wait to smoke some and take hiking.

You got some great fish! How long did it take to reel them in? bottom bouncing?

Uh, for me it felt like it took forever...my arms got really sore but it only took about 3-5 mins to reel them in. We basically just set out the line and lure and waited. We never bottom bounced. There were a couple guys there bottom bouncing but they caught nothing...this was a true bite.

Great looking fish Deb , now you have to get that salmon Bbq sauce they sell at CostCo .... mummmmmmm !

The worst day fishing is better than the best day at work.

No trail is long with good company.

I've been fishing only a handful of times.. but i love it!! I think the largest (sardine) fish i ever caught was a rainbow trout maybe 15 inches long. Nice pictures!! So, we're going to your house for BBQ, eh? Hee hee!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I'm not lost.. I just prefer the scenic route!

Well, wish me luck. We are off to a fishing derby at watch lake this weekend. Get off work at 3am and hitting the road.

Kewl. Apparently the lakes up there are doing well for trout.

Good luck!

I'm not sure exactly where we are going. We have a camper and there is a bunch of us heading up. I can't wait. I'm sure I'll be tired after work but its well worth it. Here's a neat invention that Kev built. It's for hot water showers when they are out hunting.....obviously something that won't fit in the backpack. Just have to wrap some copper coilling and set up the tub.

Wow, beginners luck indeed, that's a major understatement. Getting a catch like that in May is amazing. What were you using for bait? Berry's dog roe I'm guessing....

We used just a spinner and a hook. No roe or worms. Can't wait to get out there again.
