Late reply, but what the hey. Pathfinder wanted to know about Brazeau Lake. Never got in that far, but just let me say that the upper Brazeau valley was my favorite wilderness trip of ALL TIME!

Love that area. I visited Nigel Pass, Jonas pass as a day trip (saw 2 Caribou), went up to Cline Pass from Four Point campground (the only portion I wouldn't recommend: couldn't find much of a trail, very boggy & buggy.), side trip to a high ridge above Cline Pass, over to Cataract Pass through White Goat Wilderness area (no trail, but great terrain above treeline), and back out through Nigel Pass.

6 days of heaven on earth. Saw almost nobody, but crossed paths with a HUMONGOUS herd of bighorn sheep who posed for my camera nicely.

Thanks DOD. Sounds good to me! Just moved up the ladder for next year's choice. Hey Hodge & TB et al, saw your report somewhere in the malestrom of messages. Looks like you had a fabulous trip. Glad you didn't come back too crispy.
