Default Debating on heading into Skyline Trail in Jasper

I have a trip booked for the Skyline trail this year!! But, the trail report form Jasper is not favorable for this trip! I have done this trip twice before years ago. I also have a newbe with me heading in to this trip! Not sure how they will handle the hardship of upper elevation with snow and cold.

We have also created a plan B in Kananaskis in case the weather report changes! I am hearing things like there are crazy snow squalls and people having to get choppers up there to pull them off of the mountain! I feel trepidation about the trip!

Is there anyone who has been in the Skyline trail for the 2020 season? I am leaning to not heading in there with someone who is really just getting started with hiking!

When are you planning on going? Unless it's in the near future I wouldn't worry about current conditions.
Note that PC is extremely conservative and their ideal would be for no one to hike - their assessments of trail conditions usually reflect that.
