Any scrambling from Abbott Pass Hut?

I'm going to be going to Ohara with my family this summer for 3 days, I was wondering, if you head up to the hut, I know the views aren't great, just looking down the gully on one side and the death trap on the other.. but is there anywhere to scramble up (class 2/3) where you could get some views without full on climbing with gear to victoria, huber or lefroy?

You can get a fair ways up Victoria without serious climbing, depending on where you draw the line between climbing and scrambling. I don’t know if the views get any better as I was up there in the dark.

"depending on where you draw the line between climbing and scrambling". Exactly.

PLS don't be going anywhere beyond the hut without a partner, climbing gear and the knowledge to use it. You don't have to go very far up before you're into some serious terrain. People have died there.

i draw the line between scrambling at any sustained sections above class 4, i'm definitely more risk averse than your typical scrambler
