Coffee's overrated. Leave it behind and use the extra space for a bit more booze []

An R.N. friend of mine a few years ago told us that Starbucks Instant and other varieties add nicotine to their coffee , which is supposedly why people are hooked on it .
Don't know if he was pulling our legs .
Haha I've heard that nicotine story about Timmy's in store coffee too, I don't know - caffeine and nicotine are both stimulants and both addictive, so what's the difference? (Besides nicotine being much much worse for a person).
Snopes is usually pretty good for debunking rumours like that one.

Did you say RN?? as in nurse? thought ya hated them 'cos they're all bullies

As for starbucks, I think it's overrated. [xx(]

I only strongly dislike all Bullies when the shoe fits [ ' hate ' was your word ]
Take some organic fair trade grind-your-own coffee, Karma or Deep Dark Rituals, for the next camp out , there is no substitute , and it soothes the savage breast. [)]

nah.... 'hatred' was the general impression I got from your replies in that other thread.

Savage breast? Oh my, would hate to think I have those [:0]

Not a coffee drinker really, although I do like a latte on occasion. However, I think the Brits have us beat when it comes to good coffee [^]

It's more like the top layer of dirt; still dirt but upper crust dirt.

If the general rule is instant coffee tastes worse than regular coffee, and Starbucks coffee tastes like dirt, then does that mean that instant Starbucks coffee tastes like farm dirt?

...Origin
The phrase was coined by William Congreve, in The mourning bride, 1697:

Musick has Charms to sooth a savage Breast,
To soften Rocks, or bend a knotted Oak.
I've read, that things inanimate have mov'd,
And, as with living Souls, have been inform'd,
By Magick Numbers and persuasive Sound.
What then am I? Am I more senseless grown
Than Trees, or Flint? O force of constant Woe!
'Tis not in Harmony to calm my Griefs.
Anselmo sleeps, and is at Peace; last Night
The silent Tomb receiv'd the good Old King;
He and his Sorrows now are safely lodg'd
Within its cold, but hospitable Bosom.
Why am not I at Peace?

Cambium... go give your kids a big hug. It's far too late on a school night for them to be awake....they need love from Dad as well as Mom....
CT can wait until you have time. It's not something that will run away from you in any short time frame.

As for tea, it's also overrated IMHO... and yes, I am a true Brit, born and bred, but not a bully.....
