Creatine Monohydrate the supplement that Hiker is using helps to increase muscle mass, provides greater levels of energy, and aids in a faster recovery. It helps cells convert ADP to ATP(cells basic energy source) faster. It does have potential side effects such as dehydration, overheating and kidney damage. I don't believe there has been enough long-term research done on the effects of creatine yet.
Personally I think if you eat a well balanced diet, get plenty of sleep and are active you don't need to drink coffee or take creatine.
