Default Marshmallows

Hiking with kids has led me to packing a small Nalgene container of miniature marshmallows to add to instant hot chocolate. Well worth the weight (virtually nil) because it is one more thing to make backpacking fun.

They are tastey in hot choc. I took 12 of the big ones with me on the WCT and used some in my hot choc and a few I cooked over the fire.

those are good too, long as I get to test them first! Go for a big hike.....great way to bribe the kid huh, I should try it sometime. Then I can justify destroying my perpetual diet?<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

Update: what was I thinking? Forget the Nalgene and put the marshmallows in ziplock bag. Also, forget miniature marshmallows: go full size so they don't melt down so fast!
