I was just aching to know what it was!! Thanks for re-posting it. I cannot understand at all why that would be offensive. I think it is very funny! And impressive! You'll have to post a photo of the )melted (flacid!) version!!

Peter; I'm sure no one wishes to offend you. A few pictures that a number of people find funny are the least of my concerns. This site has a watchdog ( Longshadow).

You DO have the option of not viewing this posting. Please put things into perspective. Attendance in churches over the world is dropping, South Africa is a mess yet the whole world is helping out with disaster relief on Asia..... ever listen to the words in rap music that our kids listen to? Satanism has seen a huge growth in recent years through out the world. Vancouver's lower mainland has a real homeless problem that grows every year , yet the only time people think of them is at Christmas.

This is just the tip of the iceberg so I suggest you relax a tad.

Not that you are but, I have known several " Born Agains" that claimed to lead very pious lives. Well I have to tell you my ex father-in-law ( a Lutheran Minister) would turn over in his grave at some of the things they had done under the guise of religion.
Sometimes we have to "turn the other cheek " and worry about the bigger picture.
You know- how you treat your wife & kids, the bum that lives under the bridge just outside of town , where the funds from your church are going, how you treat your co-workers when they tick you off, what you pass on to your students before they go into the big world.

Spend less time being offended and try to do one good deed a day. Note they will only count if no one finds out about it.
My 2 cents.

The "sculpture" started as a "lighthouse".....then an evolution began. No creationism at our house.

It's the internet. You're going to find a lot worse than a giant penis sculpted out of snow. Surely a bigger crisis, more deserving of your attention, can be found than this, PF.

'Tis a funny photo, GH. Next snowfall, see if you can't get a giant snow-sheep sitting pretty next to it... err...

Well, I thought it was good and funny too. Without PF saying much more than 'this is funny?', we're making all sorts of statements and assumptions though. Just a thought.
