Default 4 person backpacking tent?

I'm looking at options for a 4 person tents for camping with my wife and two kids(7 & 9 yr old boys).
Been kicking around using (2) tents for 2 people or a shop for 4 people. Curious if folks have gone through the same process and what they landed on?
Appreciate any input.

Big Agnes Copper Spur UL4. We've had one since 2015 and its been great for me and my family. My wife only joins us occasionally, so I didn't really go down the 2 2-person route

2 tents gives you flexibility. I started with a 2-man tent, then unexpectedly had the kids along so ended up making a second tent. 2 tents weighing in at 3kg total, including ground sheets.

As a second tent, I'm seeing more and more decent reviews on the chinese knock-off tents on Ali Express. For kids those would work great... light weight, not a huge investment, and the fact they may not have enough room for a tall adult doesn't matter. Have a look at the LanShan 2 reviews on Trailspace for instance.

KingCamp Melfi Plus SUV Car Tent is probably my go to, yes its a car camping tent but it doesn't have to be. It works great for any weather not too extreme and it can be set up in 15 minutes.
