Default WTC - Want to Buy

Prefer a Sierra Designs Two Man tent (or other quality tent) w/vestibule

Not rich, thus am looking for a high quality but inexpensive secondhand tent. This does NOT mean Tera Gear or Ozark Trail.

It needs to be:

rainproof,
two-man (I'm 6'2"),
with a vestibule,
between 3 and 5 lbs in total weight, and
$100 or less

Thanks!
Doug

That's tough criteria, your best bet might be keeping an eye out on Craigslist, at least in Vancouver you have more stuff come up.

An alternate option is to make a tent, though you'd have to try your hand at sewing, and be willing to try a tarp tent style.

You could always go with a silnylon tarp and a bug net for now, and upgrade to a tent once you find one. The tarp is still very useful even once you have a tent.

Yeah, I know it's tough criteria. I can get one off eBay used for $180, but I'd like less expensive.

I'd have no hope to make a tent, and a tarp/bug net would not be for me.

If nothing comes up, I'll go with my $180 backup plan.

Thanks for the input!
