Default Hi-Tech vs Lowa?

Ok, Meindl's (as I found out when going to AJ Brooks to get them modified) turn out are NOT going to work for me

The best fitting has now come down to A/B class of either leather-lined Lowa (mens) or fabic-lined, water proof, lower cut Hi-Tech (mens). Anyone familiar with these ones? (which will break in faster, last longer, fabic vs leather lining, etc?)

Get the Lowas.

Hey Shan..

Have you tried the hanwag shoes?

Did you know that LOrenz WAgner "Lowa"
and HANs WAGner "Hanwag" are Brothers?

The Lowas are for most People a little more comfortable as the Meindls and Hanwags. But i prefer the Hanwags especially Alaska GTX because he fits perfect TO ME and is built from one piece of leather. So he lasts longer!

My Hi-Tech shoe i buyed few months ago is really not bad, and he is much, but not water proof!
