Oh, also, is there some way to specify when a product is gender specific? For clothing especially this might be an issue.
I think the way you have done it by putting gender in brackets in the title works quite well.

Is anyone else having difficulties adding photos? I've tried to add small photos (8kb) in jpg format from my desktop and the form gives me the wrong format/wrong size error message. Is this just me?

If it matters I am using a mac.

Hmmm interesting... I don't have a mac so haven't been able to test. I'm assuming the forum upload works for you?

Yes, the standard photo upload works great for me. The code that checks the image file extension/size picks it up right away, before I try to upload it. Maybe it's something to do with the folder system in OS X?

I'm still getting the same error message when I try to upload photos. Tried to add one to the Bora 62 entry I created this morning with no luck.

Which browser are you using? What's the full filename of the image? Does it end in .jpg?

I was also using Firefox on my Mac, but I just tried with Safari and had the same problem.

The file I was trying to upload is called 'contactstrap.jpg' and is located at

/users/iwilson/desktop/contactstrap.jpg

which is how the browsing window locates it... hope this helps.

I know the manufacturers list in the wiki is meant to be close to exhaustive, but I have a pair of Meindl boots I'd like to add and Meindl isn't one of the options. Perhaps you could add "Other" as an option under manufacturer to deal with future situations like this?

BTW... I am really loving the gear wiki. Lots of great info.

I'll pass the Meindl to be added on to LongShadow if he hasn't already seen it. You guys are doing a great job! Thanks for putting the time in.

Added! I don't mind adding them as I go along - that way we can make the mfg list more exhaustive as we go along.

Glad you are enjoying the wiki! Lots of great info already!

Gear Wiki is great and the timing couldn't be better. It put the icing on the cake for my decision to go with a new Aether 60. Thanks for all the hard work and the great ideas guys.

I have another manufacturer to add. Source-Vagabond makes hydration packs under the Source-Liquitainer name, but they make Sandals under the Source name. Could you add Source-Vagabond to the manufacturers list, or maybe just change it to plain old "Source" since they are the same company?

LS... do you want me to email these to you directly or continue to post them in this thread?

I've added it... Up to you on how to let me know. Posting on here or by email is fine either way.
