Default Mt Edith, a great way to cure a hangover :)

After a long week of work, Friday night got a little out of hand. We began with a two hour epic frisbee toss at Banff high then proceeded to booze the night away. When i awoke Saturday morning on my friends couch wreaking of liquor i couldn't help but fell nostalgic and connected to life in Banff. After failed attempts at rousing my comrads it turned out that Mt. Edith would be a solo mission.
Aside from the 1A being closed due to men and women in spandex i parked just before the 1A exit and hoped the fence to the fireside picnic area and Cory/Edith pass loop. In no time the elevation gain began ripping out the countless drinks from the night before and a thin form of salty crust began forming on my face. 2 hours to Corey pass. I loved this scramble. The first chimney was fun to the north peak and i was loving the views and sounds of climbers on Mt Louis. What a cool peak.
Good scree on the traverse over to the south peak and lots of cairns to follow. Nice decent route from south peak back to Corey pass trail.
Knees were feeling it by the time i hit fireside but i still had enough juice for the crux......the final return fence hop.
5 hours return, great views.
The moral of this hike for me was that even though the Magpie let us drink there until 2:45 am, it might not have been the best idea
Hope everyone is having a stellar weekend!

Cory pass is an excellent hangover cure. Used it a few times.
