Little Arethusa 2012-10-13
2012-10-13 | Little Arethusa | 2769m | 4.7km | 758m rolling gain.
"Shoulder season" I guess you'd call this time of year when most of the colors are down but there isn't enough snow to play in yet. Due to other plans we both needed a shorter day and this one fit the bill nicely. No fooling around elevation gain to a little peak with superb views.
Access is just south of the Highwood Pass on hwy 40.

We figured there were four wolves in the group based on the tracks. That's the cool thing about a bit of snow, you learn who you share the trail with.

We did Mount Lipsett and also saw some wolf tracks there, maybe the same pack.

Quite likely the same pack Marko. Just traveling up the Hwy 40 valley ducking into all the little nooks looking to flush something out is what I envisioned.
