Default Matier NW Face

Conditions were set up perfectly for the Joffre enchainment.
Matier is a more technical but has a nice steep pitch once you get
off the ridge.

Thanks goes out to Lemirod, who I met on the summit, who gave
me the tip to use your camera battery for your go pro.

Otherwise, I would have been carrying around a camera all day
with no use.

So, you completed enchainment starting from Joffre Lakes?

Hey no problem. Couldn't believe you just skied off the summit to get down to the NW face. Everyone else seemed to be taking theirs off to boot down to it. I guess you where born with those skis glued to your feet

We started at ceries creek and finished at Joffre lakes.

I was trying to catch up with the rest of the group so I left my skis on for the ridge. I like to ski from
the true summit if at all possible.

My attempt (few seasons ago) was without skis and it was like this:

Hike in to Joffre lakes
Climb of NW couloir of Tzil
Climb of West ridge of Slalok
Descent of the East side(?)
Hartzel/Spetch
Matier
Joffre

exit to Cerise

We were not able to complete it due to exhaustion and small injury. I would like to do it and get rid of it.

Obviously. It goes a lot faster with skis. Easily doable in 12 hours or so but most people would do Joffre first to get the S facing climb out of the way - assuming you go up via Aussie

Mountaineering option suggest downclimbing long Joffre ridge back to Joffre Lakes. Two of my friends end up sleeping on the ridge because they couldn't finish enchainment in a day. They didn't have a any bivvy gear and night was very long. After a day of 30+C, night between 5 and 10C is very hard to endure.
