We ran into some CT'ers on Unnecessary Mtn. this fall who thought maybe Katie had passed away with our absence from CT. Katie is still going strong. No issues with her wrists for all of 2017.
We've done all of our usual suspects: Nutt, S. Needle, Dilly Dally, Binkert to Harvey, Thurston, Mercer, Williams Ridge, Elsay etc. Some trips of note were Mt.Edgar, G. Ears, and seperate sleepovers on Paleface and Paleface 2.

Anyway, here is a picture of her yesterday for our traditional Mt. Harvey Christmas.

Awesome to see you post again John! I must admit I was a bit worried too!

We broke Lynn Ridge to the last bump before the South Needle yesterday. The thin rain crust over the snow made for some awkward and ungraceful snowshoeing. This one beat me up, but always a beautiful ridge to travel.

Just looking you up John, glad to see all OK, how old is Katie now? Joey just turned 15! No more hikes for him now, just city stuff

Wow, Joey is still kicking...very impressive for the breed. Katie is 10 now. Had a bit of a scare a couple of weeks ago where she was limping after a Hat/Brunswick Lake hike, but was fine 2 days later. I think she got stung. We've done Flora Peak and Unnecessary Mtn. since and she is just fine. 👍

Katie had a great summer. Hikes of note were Unnecessary North via the Binkert trail, an attempt at Martyn that had us stay the night along Gold Creek instead and then slug our way up the G. Ears trail the next day to spend the night on Panorama Ridge, a night on Bishop via RCV Ridge and returning via Elsay Lake, Binkert to Harvey with Magnesia Peak thrown in, a Lynn to Lynn loop of Hanes Valley, Runner Peak, and Mt. Lindeman's SE peak. She's still got it. : )
