It sounds like she is getting her feet back under her. Quality. I am so glad to hear it!

Like others here, I came looking for inspiration. And found it in John and Katie, again! Thanks so much, always great to hear from you two!

And what is the name of that curious cutie in your profile photo that likes to play with plush dog toys?

You're welcome, and thank you for the kind words. Thankfully she seems to be progressing a little each day now. From jumping into the truck unassisted to tagging Alouette without a leash attached.

Alouette- wow she is doing so well! Thrilled to bits to see that!

Zeljkok, the little guy in my pic is Wheeler- he is bigger now, about 65 lbs and looks like a greyhound (although I know his mum was a sled dog mix- named Eleven from Stranger Things lol). He is my new trail companion. I miss Oliver so much, but Wheeler has been a total lifesaver to have around & he is a great (fast) dog 😎

She still has Harvey in her. Off leash up to the ridge, but I put her on not long after. It's a little different than Alouette Mtn. She lost one her dew claws somewhere along the ascent. I hadn't noticed until topping out. First time I have had to pull out the first-aid kit for her on a hike. She was limping a bit with my wrap job and has a little more difficulty descending, so she stayed on leash for the steep descent.

Thurston and a bit beyond yesterday. All off leash. A pleasant surprise to see her do so well in the deep snow. We were following a solo gentleman breaking a good snowshoe trail, so that was a big help.
Still has the head tilt and is still a little off balance on the steep stuff, mostly on descent. Yesterday's gentle grade was perfect for her. We're both learning how to manage this.

We made an attempt at Mercer via Elk today. It's me that gets thrown under the bus, however...too early in the season for such a long trek and deep snow. Not in good enough snowshoe shape just yet. Even with vestibular she is making me look bad. : )
We had ever changing and wild lighting throughout the day.
One of those special days where I will find difficulty falling asleep afterwards, just thinking back to how beautiful the day was.

Beautiful picture with the sunrays; I love following all your adventures with Katie; a wonderful life story series.

I am happy I was able to share a few hikes with you in the past;

I also love this image

If CT was now what it was once, I'd suggest this for calendar. It tells the story, happy dog gazing into the light and amazing wonders of life.

Keep it coming you two

Katie's tail wagging speaks volumes.
It seems she does not perceive herself as anything less than her full self.
Thank you for the updates. I hope you have many more happy years together!

You're welcome, and thank you.
She has the strength, stamina and enthusiasm she had before vestibular. I do sense some embarrassment in her eyes when she does take an unusual stumble, but I am quick to reassure her that it is alright.

Thanks Karl and Zeljkok.
