Default Viking Creek lookout

Anyone hiked to Viking Creek lookout in Goldenears park?

Is it a good hike worth the climb.

The hike to the lookout takes about an hour BUT due to the overgrowth of trees, there is no longer a view.

The 'view' is a waste of time but there is a nice waterfall along the way & there is a well established route past the lookout that leads down to the creek.

You can also follow the creek down river to where it joins the Menzies Trail to make it a loop hike.
