Vancouver Knee Specialist Recommendation
My knees are giving me problems, and it seems they get worse every year. I am hoping someone has some sort of experience with a knee specialist they can recommend, instead of taking a chance with a name I'm not familiar with.
My knees feel "wobby" when walking and don't feel adequately supported in the joint. They cause me pain and discomfort when hiking downhill unless I go very very slow (which is unrealistic in a 20-30km day hike). I would much rather hike all uphill, instead of downhill.
Day-to-day they make cracking and popping sounds, especially when I twist the joint or when I crouch down. When I am in a full squat to the floor and try to stand up the joints feel weak
When I cycle uphill or something steep, the area around my knee joint feels "tired" or fatigued way before my quads or other muscles fatigue.
I can still do activities fine, but I am worried about the future. I would like to get an xray of my knee or have some sort of in depth examination to see what my options are.
Could anyone give me a recommendation to a knee specialist? I don't want to talk to a general doctor and go that route as it hasn't worked in the past.
Thanks in advance!
