Yup , thats the part I love too. You cover the floor and table, making sure you have everything. Load it, then pick it up and say @!*$
go jump on the scale and wounder where the 65 lbs came from ???
Dump it all out and start again!... what to leave behind ? where can I cut some weight?
Don't know about you, but I find as the years go by , my pack gets heavier and my hiking shorts get tighter l.O.l.

No trail is long with good company.

Where are you heading tomorrow, Hiker Boy?

Speaking of gear all over the place... just getting together a week's worth of grub for the trail. By golly, that's a LOT of food! Next I'll be trying to weed out the unnecessaries from my list of what to take... augh! The 50 lb pack is a distant memory

I decided Cheakamus Lake looks the best for trail conditions.

See you on the mountain!

Hahahah you too! My living room looks like my pack exploded as well. I'm sure my wife will be happy when it is all packed up.

I'm heading up there in August and then crossing over to Garibaldi/Balck Tusk so you have anything interesting to report I'd like to hear it.

Ok, we're back. The trip was great and the trail was mostly dry except for a few muddy sections. There is tons of snow up in those hills. There were major bear problems up there and besides lots of fresh droppings, we sighted two.

...trip report later (after I finish unpacking)

See you on the mountain!

Very curious now... You saw plenty of bears or just evidence?

Yeah, Im always interested in bear stories. Also, please give information on the trail, I've never been to Cheakamus Lake and I wanted to know what it was like. I heard it's about 2 hours to the second campsite, though. If you can, please write a trip report. I always wanted to visit Garibaldi Park north of the Black Tusk/Garibaldi Trail, but I never got to though.

Thanx a lot..
