So the trail wiki has been relegated to obscurity in the "Archive"? booooooo A link to trails should be under the Forum Community tab.

I think new page looks fantastic! Some outstanding high quality images too & quite a pleasure.

I do agree that trail wiki should be incorporated though; it was (is) invaluable resource & main reason why I personally joined at a time & still keep contributing. Ideally it would get a makeover and then linked, not just via menu but via its own spot (like you have "10 commandments of hiking" right now)

Keep up the good work and many thanks!

Thanks for the input! I know the Trails seem forgotten right now, but I assure you that is still a work in progress.

I can definitely get a link in the Community tab for it in the meantime

A quick update: The Trail link has been moved up to the top alongside the Community and other tabs.

I'm having trouble accessing the waypoints every time I try to download them it says "page not found", is there a way to still get them?

Let me have tech take a look. I'm not sure if those were available before the changes (is anyone able to confirm that?). If they are on the server, it's likely the paths got shuffled and tech can sort that out.

nstrayed is probably referring to the trail wiki, which has been somewhat broken since the forum software changed a couple of years ago. Photos on the trail wiki as well as GPX tracks have given the "not found" page for a while. For example:
https://www.clubtread.com/Routes/Rout....html?Route=26
Click on "Download waypoints" or on any of the thumbnail images.

I was just reading the other advertising thread and thought I'd check out the trail wiki. Clicking on the pictures works now which is great! However there is still a problem logging into the trail wiki, see the attached images. This happens when you click Add New or Edit on any trail.

Also, it seems there is a new home page on Clubtread.com with a "Trails" button at the top. When I click on this button in Chrome, it works. But if I click on the button in Internet Explorer, it behaves like I want to open a file. (See 3rd image). The URL it is trying to open is https://www.clubtread.com/Routes/

If I recall correctly, part of the problem may result because when the Trail Wiki was created, its editing was restricted to a subset of qualified users who could be counted upon to provide good-quality data. It wasn't open to edits from any CT user because LongShadow and ShadowChaser (the original admins) were worried about possible abuse (spamming, malicious edits, etc)

It's possible that this function hasn't been maintained during the site transition and now it's trying to find a nonexistent location with a list of qualified editors when you attempt login to see if you can edit it or not.

There is still some limited access to the trail wiki if you try here:

https://www.clubtread.com/Routes/ByRe....html?Region=1

if you're not hiking you should be skiing
