Default New article! Developing a "Photographic Eye"

I'd like to announce a new article that has been added to the stories section. It is "Developing a Photographic Eye" written by BillyGoat.

In this article he talks about some of the critical factors in taking outdoor photography including lighting, composition, and contrast.

A must read for all of you who like taking photos while you're out on the trail.

Very cool! This is the sort of helpful information still useful to those of us without fancy cameras.

A very good article with some beautiful pics. Keep them coming.

Having patience and taking the time to get a good pic is a discipline I am having a hard time mastering!

fancy cameras or no - great advice in a good article by BillyGoat!!

Rachelo, just get out there and shoot, and shoot some more. With digital, you can shoot as many photos as you want every day without incurring additional costs. Then edit ruthlessly when you return home.

Indeed, joining communities is a great way to improve one's skills. Thanks BG for suggesting TrekNature, which I had never heard of before now. I would also suggest Flickr, particularly its photo critique groups.

I just noticed the artice too and really enjoyed it. I'm always looking for new ways to improve my skills. I love taking photos but I never seem to get the spectacular shots that others capture so well.
Thanks for the tips BG.

I read your article last night BillyGoat, and just wanted to say I really enjoyed it - articulate with some great pointers for anyone at any level in their photography to understand.
