Default North Shore Rescue has a member in need
I'm not sure whether this information has been posted on the site yet or whether I'm posting in the correct forum, however, a bit of news here.

North Shore Rescue member Jay Piggott has been diagnosed with a difficult and rare form of cancer, and due to his terms of employment as a paramedic who is not yet officially full time employed he has no benefits to draw upon. He is expecting to be unable to work for a very substantial amount of time.

Long story short, as we are a hiking community here, I'm basically asking that we step up and be there for a guy who has been there for us, both as a paramedic and as a search and rescue member.

Well people stepped up and raised 108% of their goal in two days. Hopefully now he can concentrate on getting better.
