Anyone who belongs to any of the FMCBC clubs gets these newsletters, but I'll post the link anyway. Too bad I can't post in a thread topic for all of BC. Sorry VI members! Yah I could post it twice...

Some highlights:

Vancouver Island Land Use Plan - 20 years later
The FMCBC was one of the original stakeholders involved in the Commission on Resources and Environment (CORE) process during the early 1990s and the establishment of the Vancouver Island Land Use Plan (VILUP) in 1994. It has now been 20 years since the VILUP was established and University of Alberta Masters Student Sabrina Schwartz contacted the FMCBC in March to participate in a study titled: The Vancouver Island Land Use Plan, 20 Years Later. A review of the VILUP in the light of current and future stakeholder needs. . . .

The next issue of Cloudburst newsletter of FMCBC will be out in December.

Several links to articles about all sorts of mountain activities, such as:

The public comment period for the Pinecone Burke Park Management Plan has been extended until November 30th. Help us let BC Parks know that we do not want to see snowmobiles in the park.
