I'm looking to make a trip to the Della Falls trail in Early August. I have read that the water taxi is $135 per person which is much more than I'd be willing to pay if you can canoe in. I also read about the option to dock at the Scout Beach Recreation area. I was wondering if anyone has experience as to how long it would take to canoe (2 people) in good physical shape, from this starting point to the trail. Is there generally access to this scout beach area this time of year? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There is access to the scout beach area year round (but no dock there). It takes me about three hours paddling pretty hard in my kayak to get to the trailhead dock which is 21-kms from Scout Camp.

What are the conditions of the falls. I know there wasn't much snow pack for this year. A group of us are interested in hikinig to the falls. We live on the island so we can hike another year. We don't want to make it there and find out that the falls have dried up. We plan to hike around early August this year.
