Default McKee Bluffs Trail (Abbotsford) March 22/15

There is mountain bike trail network criss-crossed with hiking trails on McKee Hill. Took a group of 18 of members from our club, RMOC; on this trail to experience the easy route, enjoy the vistas, watefalls, cliffs, and various caves and cavities. After the prior Saturday rain, all the waterfalls were displaying their flush of water...

10 km loop with 270 meters net elevation gain over 4 hours.

A beautiful day and dry too; started raining right after we had returned to our cars and were driving out.

This trail is stituated at end of Harvest Drive, which is a few turns above Whatcom Road adjacent to McKee Hill.

Will post a GPS Track later on.

Hi, I've been wanting to see these waterfalls and caves for a while now, people keep telling about them and how amazing they are. I went up today and started walking, however I couldn't find any markers on trees, I just found a honeycombe of biking trails and then eventually a massive cow looking at me sideways lol. My question is, are there markers? Is there one specific trail I should be on?

Hello Chris

Welcome to CT. There are no defined markers to show where these caves and cliffs are, the best bet is someone to show you the way. I could this after work and dinner, about an hour to show where they are.

Basically when you enter the trails ; the ones to the right generally take you there... except not the first right of the main though.

We could arrange an evening. I am in Abbotsford, 10 minutes drive from the trailhead.

Right now I would suspect all the waterfalls would have dried up, you need a good rain... and then come in the day after.

I live right by these trails and most times access them off Harvest Drive in the Highlands. I have never noticed any trail markers. There are so many trails to explore in this area though. Yes the cows have been let back in for summer grazing. I would say just walk the trails and explore as you really cannot get lost up there as all trails lead down to some main road. There is no water to speak of right now as all streams and water falls have gone dry. Hope that helps but Karl may be able to assist with further info.
