Default Rockwall Trail

I'd like to do the Rockwall Trail in Kootenay National Park this summer. I'm in good shape, 43 years old. Im comfortable with any pace & could do it in 2 or 3 nights. My usual backpacking buddy bailed on me!

Yup, the 90 day rolling wave is already approaching august for dates. Still much preferred than "plan your whole summer in January"

Is there an online webite to see what's available/needed permitwise for the Rockwall trail? I can find lots of trip reports but nothing on what it takes to get there, which sometimes seems like the toughest part Guidance anyone?? Thx

Added May 8: ok, I think I found it- there is no online reservations like Berg, you just call into Kootenay at Radium, 3 months ahead. Correct? From the information I've read re: Grizzly habitat I'm assuming this is one of the areas that a 4 min. might/should apply sometimes or is it a popular enough trail that "being alone" is never going to happen for long? I'm kinda stuck to planning for more popular routes as I have to plan Solo trips. I'll be looking at August if I can work it in this year.

If I could just do a long weekend hike in the area- which trailhead would you suggest starting/ending from and is it difficult to hitch a ride back to the start trailhead
